SERVICES AND THERAPIES

Expect to find that every measure is taken to make your visits relaxed, comfortable and safe. Our office has been professionally designed, staffed and equipped to provide you with the best and most current care possible.

In an effort to help you restore and maintain optimal health, you will find it helpful to know about the diagnostic tests and adjunct therapies that we offer in our office. They are all designed to enhance the effectiveness of the primary treatment, the adjustment. Most patients find that the indicated therapies help them to achieve improved health, decreased pain and improved function in less time. Our therapies are affordable, convenient and can be scheduled alone or in combination with your adjustments. If you have not yet had the opportunity to experience these therapies, please inquire about a demonstration at no charge.

SOME OF OUR SERVICES AND THERAPIES INCLUDE:
Manual manipulation, Low-force instrument manipulation, Myofascial therapy, Cranial techniques, Acupuncture meridian therapy, Clinical nutrition, Dietary management, Reflex procedures, In-office laboratory, On-site complete radiology facility, Cold laser therapy, Ionic detoxification foot bath, Toxic and Elemental Hair Analysis, Salivary hormone profiles, Purification programs, and Environmental and food sensitivity blood tests.

HAIR ANALYSIS

Hair element analysis is an important screening test for determining specific nutrient minerals and trace elements your body may be lacking, as well as uncovering exposure and absorption of toxic heavy metals. Hair permanently records the past events of your trace element status. Often, hair will uncover a metal toxicity or nutrient deficiency when the blood or urine does not. Our hair analysis provides you with a unique, non-invasive means of information revealing your body’s specific toxins and mineral content. The mineral comparisons and quantitative ratios enable us to relate endocrine function including thyroid, adrenal, blood sugar and hormone balance, as well as the bioavailability of calcium and protein. With a true understanding of your body’s chemistry, we can effectively design a detoxification and nutritional program to safely and successfully address your health issues. It also avoids wasting your money on poor supplement choices and products that you don’t need. It is recommended that this safe, simple, and cost-effective test be performed once or twice a year on individuals of all ages.

SALIVARY HORMONE TESTING

There are several ways salivary hormone tests can help you optimize your health. Most importantly, they help identify possible causes of health problems. Depending on the specific hormones involved, certain symptoms are usually present when hormonal imbalance exists. For example, contrary to popular belief, depression is not caused by a prescription drug deficiency, but it can be caused by an imbalance between estrogens and progesterone, low androgens like DHEA and testosterone, or high cortisol. Genetics, dietary factors or other environmental factors may cause this imbalance.

Why test saliva? Because steroid hormones play such a vital role in maintenance of health and knowledge of an imbalance in any one or more hormones can help illuminate the cause of health problems. Hormone saliva testing tells us the amount of hormones in our body that are actually usable by our cells; where as blood testing evaluates all circulating hormones regardless of their availability. The advantages of saliva vs. blood testing of steroid hormones: Saliva collection is easy, can be done anywhere, any time, over an extended period of time and at a much lower cost. Blood hormone testing is stressful, and the stress of a blood draw can sometimes alter the result. It has been proven that hormones in saliva are exceptionally stable, which makes the results much more accurate.

BLOOD TESTING

Blood tests are laboratory tests done on blood to gain an appreciation of disease states and the function of organs. Since blood flows throughout the body, acting as a medium for providing oxygen and other nutrients, and drawing waste products back to the excretory systems for disposal, the state of the bloodstream affects many medical conditions. Blood is obtained from one of the patient's veins by venipuncture or fingerprick. Blood is useful as it is a way to obtain cells, and extracellular fluid (plasma), from the body to check on its health. Our office is CLIA certified for your convenience, whereby we can draw blood in the office or refer you to an affiliated laboratory. We are also able to spot test (fingerstick) blood glucose and iron levels with immediate results, as well as testing urine. If it is indicated, we can also draw blood for extensive food allergy tests not available through other laboratories.

IONCLEANSE DETOXIFICATION FOOT BATH

Why Detoxify the Body

We are living in the most polluted environment in the earth's known history. We are continually inhaling and assimilating residues from petrochemicals, plastics and pesticides that occupy cell receptor sites and block hormone utilization. While no process or modality can guarantee the prevention of disease, it is logical to assume that an ongoing detoxification program - the act of minimizing toxic accumulations in the body - will reduce the incidence of chronic degenerative disease and improve overall quality of life. In order to maintain a productive life, detoxification is a necessity.

How the IonCleanse® Works

AC electricity is converted to low power DC electricity, which flows through a patented electrode system that sits in the footbath. The electricity and the metal combine to split the water molecule into H+ and OH- ions, a process known as electrolysis of water. These ions travel through the body, neutralize oppositely charged particles and through powerful osmotic pressure pull those neutralized particles out of the body through whatever skin surface is in contact with the water.

ERCHONIA LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY

What Is Low-level Laser Therapy?
Unlike high power lasers that use heat and destroy tissue, low energy lasers affect the cellular energy of the underlying tissue. Cold or Low Level Lasers do not have a thermal effect on tissue with an output below 10mw (ten-one thousands of a watt). Low Level Laser Therapy (3LT™) refers to the modality of applying a "low" energy or "low level" laser to tissue that stimulates cellular processes and thereby enhances biochemical reactions. For example, studies show that LLLT increases ATP (energy) production in the mitochondria of the cell. Since more energy is now available, the cell may utilize this fuel to function or operate more efficiently .
How Does It Work?
Many theories exist as to the mechanism of action for Low Level Laser Therapy, but simply put, photonic energy is absorbed by the cells which initiate a cascade of signals that initiate, inhibit or accelerate biological processes such as wound healing, inflammation or pain management. Low Level Laser Therapy has been successfully used to treat many conditions such as acute and chronic pain reduction, repetitive use disorders like carpal tunnel syndrome, soft tissue strains and sprains, inflammation reduction, enhanced tissue wound healing, infections and cell regeneration.

FLEXION-EXTENSION SPINAL DECOMPRESSION

This is a nonsurgical treatment for low-back pain and pain in the leg, neck or arms that works by reducing loading of the spine. A common approach to administering spinal decompression therapy finds the patient placed comfortably atop a specially designed table that cycles distraction tension to the lumbar spine in concert with brief relaxation respites. The goal is to safely isolate the deformed spinal disc and mechanically induce unloading without also triggering counterproductive reflex muscle contractions. Giving encouragement to the proponents of spinal decompression therapy are numerous clinical studies demonstrating that the therapy does indeed cause disc space to decompress. Conditions helped by it are: sciatica, disc hernianation, disc protrusion, spinal stenosis, and radiculopathy. Spinal decompression therapy is economical, costing only about 10% of lumbar surgeries.
